Deseret News has a column in todays paper about the Chinese Book of Mormon. There is one small mistake in the caption for the image of the first edition. It is labeled as a “Mandarin Chinese” Book of Mormon, which is incorrect. Actually the first Edition Chinese book of Mormon was translated in Taiwan but [...]

A famous Chinese blogger named Han Han who created magazine and tried to get it published, but had difficulty getting it through the government approval system. Article. The writer mentions two interesting things that may be of interest to those wishing to see the gospel spread throughout [...]

I found a little church pamphlet at a used book store called “You are called to Serve” 因此你被召喚去服務 printed in 1969. The curious thing about it is that the scripture references inside refer to the Doctrine & Covenants as 聖教義和約言. A little different then we now know. Check it out:
I came across a page in an early edition of the Chinese 聖徒之聲 ”Voice of the Saints” that has a well known quote by Heber J. Grant. I believe the quote is attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson, but President Grant used the quote quite frequently. “That which we persist in doing becomes easy to do; not because the [...]
聖徒之聲 I was able to scan in from Microfiche the first issue of the ShengTu ZhiSheng ( Voice of the Saints). The scan is poor but very readable. The pdf has been processed through OCR, so it should be fairly searchable although I doubt it was very accurate. You can download it here. Enjoy.

Currently they are only looking for Chinese, German, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish with more languages being added all the time. They translation needs are simple phrases and text and each assignment is small and [...]

What do you think about the change? The other change I find interesting is the move from the “祢” (ni) to the more formal [...]
