Photography

I love photography. I have been shooting pictures for quite some time. It all started back in high school when I took a Graphic Arts class just for the art credit. The photography and graphic design I learned in that class has pretty much directed the course I took in life. I tried working in photography studios and did custom enlargements for quite some time. In high school and college I took an amazing amount of pictures and hand developed them myself. I really enjoyed working in a darkroom and capturing images that people could look back upon for years.

Almost 10 years ago I bought my first digital camera. An epson 3100z. I bought my fist digital slr, a canon Rebel xt a few years later and have loved using it.

One of the most interesting techniques I have learned is called HDR. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. The idea is to capture enough data so your picture more closely resembles what our eyes see. I think we have all taken a picture where the subject or the background is properly exposed but never together in the same picture. Either the background is washed out or the subject matter is too dark.
HDR is a technique of combining the same photo of different exposures together to make one perfect photo. Below are some examples of the photos I have taken using this technique.
